General Description:
The Unified Communication Solution Architect is responsible for defining the enterprise technology architecture that will be the basis for all of our unified communication solutions. This individual is responsible for defining the technology architecture strategies, target states, transition roadmaps and ensuring their alignment with our corporate IT business, end user computing application and information architectures. Ownership for defining the principles, standards and reference patterns for technology capabilities will reside with this role. Finally, this individual will be responsible for guiding solution engineers and third-party service providers to ensure that solution architectures align with the enterprise technology architecture and business requirements
Working on the Corporate IT Unified Communication and Collaboration team will give you opportunities to contribute your technical, business, interpersonal and intercultural skills. You will have an opportunity to own, cooperate and coordinate tasks with a committed team, working in modern technologies (Jabber, Spark, WebEx, Office 365, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams etc.) from core back-end platform components Scrum and Agile development, performance tuning, design and maintenance are just only a few areas you can master being part of our team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Translates business strategy and objectives into an enterprise technology architecture which supports the following capabilities:
o Unified Communication Services
o Cisco Jabber
o Cisco WebEx and Spark
o Enterprise webcasting
o Integration with other UC technologies (Microsoft, Avaya etc.)
o Operations
• Establishes standards and provides documentation for standards and current state designs. Also acts as forward thinking and innovation source for the areas of responsibility.
• Supports/guides solution architects by promoting best practices, using reference architectures, ensuring standardization across solution architectures and reflecting the technology architecture strategies in their solutions
• As a member of the Digital Workplace services architecture review team, ensures that solution architectures are aligned with the enterprise technology architecture
• Continuously researches and keeps up with latest trends, emerging technologies, new vendor products, new ways of doing things, assessing their applicability to Sabre end users and incorporating them into the enterprise technology architecture

Essential Business Experience
• Experience working with and/or extensive knowledge of multiple technologies in the areas of unified communication services (e.g. telephony, video conferencing, chat, messaging, fax - unified communication – Cisco and Microsoft UC.), infrastructure/platform services (e.g. connectivity, network, archiving, back up, high availability, disaster recovery), security services (e.g. identity and access management, directory services, network security, platform security, vulnerability management) and operations (e.g. monitoring, incident management, service management)
• Development of a digital workplace and digital worker to modernize the unified communication computing environment
• Ability to innovate and develop business ROI at an enterprise level
• Ability to understand and apply abstract architectural concepts at an enterprise level
• 5+ years of experience architecting solutions
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey architectural concepts to business and technology peers as well as senior management
• Effective influencing and negotiating skills
• Ability to work simultaneously on multiple large, complex projects with minimal supervision
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline and/or equivalent work experience.
• CCNP/CCIE certification
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
• LAN/WAN and Data Center expertise - Advanced
• Routing & Switching knowledge – Advanced
• Extensive experience with the Cisco Hosted Collaboration Solution (HCS), including Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity Connection and Cisco Unified Presence in enterprise deployments
• Cisco Expressway and Session Border Controller Design/Implementation – Expert
• 5 years of experience supporting and trouble-shooting issues with Cisco Jabber and Jabber Mobile clients; web technology integration with Cisco TelePresence endpoints; and configuring TelePresence endpoints
• 5 years of experience working with Cisco technologies, managing Cisco TAC cases, and using the Cisco web site to download software updates and research and trouble-shoot issues
• Diagnosing diverse call flows (SIP, SCCP, Q.931, T.38, Modem pass thru/relay protocols, Wireshark captures, Real-time Transport Protocol) – Expert
• Quality of Service (QOS), Multicast, IP traffic engineering – Expert
• Legacy PBX interaction - Intermediate
• Microsoft Skype for Business architecture, design and deployment expertise - Plus
• Multi-vendor integration with TDM to IP based voice solutions, including Cisco, Avaya
• Conferencing solutions such as Cisco WebEx technologies
• Voice and messaging integration with Microsoft Skype for Business Online and Hosted/Managed Services - Plus
• Unified Messaging experience with Microsoft solutions - Microsoft Skype for Business Online, and Microsoft Teams
• Experience with video solutions including but not limited to Cisco
• Global offices use case scenarios
• Cisco Spark, Spark Hybrid experience (desired)
